Risk Analysis of Petrochemical Transmission Pipeline Due to Land Subsidence
Case study: Tehran Azadegan and Saeedi highway crossing
Abstract: This research presents risk analysis of petrochemical transmission pipeline damage due to subsidence. Petrochemical material usually transported by pipeline. Pipelines at metropolitans usually is underground and if any leakage or rupture was happened because of erosion, earthquake, defects in construction, failure and land subsidence It would have fatalities and property damages.As a result safety improvement of people living around the transmission pipeline is considerable and become a concern of experts in this scope. Subsidence level of Iranian cities especially Tehran is above the annual global level. This may cause damage for pipelines.This article besides declaring possible incident scenarios, calculates the risk of pipelines with consequence analysis software and specify hazard area. Eventually population exposure relative with hazard area calculated with Arc GIS software.
