On May 13, the Transportation Systems & Logistics (TSL) research lab hosted Dr. Sadeghi from the National Productivity Organisation of Iran (NPO), Mr.Shafei Naderi from Mapna, and Dr. Morteza Bagheri from School of Railway Engineering at IUST to discuss the comparison of rail productivity indices in Iran and globally.
The productivity index in rail encompasses three key components:
1-Track & Structures: This includes the quality, capacity, and efficiency of rail tracks, stations, signaling systems, and other physical assets.
2-Rolling Stock: Evaluates the productivity of trains, locomotives, and freight cars, considering factors like utilization, maintenance, and fuel efficiency.
3-Human Resources: Refers to the performance and effectiveness of the workforce involved in rail operations, maintenance, and management.
